Hello-
My parents were both recently diagnosed with some major health issues. Unfortunately, they did not plan for retirement very well and combined with our failing economy, they live on a very limited fixed income.
Now at a time when they should be enjoying themselves, they are faced with medication costs that they did not expect. I am here to give hope to everyone that may be in a very similar situation as my parents.
Their doctor had treated my parents for years and thankfully, he viewed them as friends, as well as patients. He discussed with them and myself, the possibility of them getting Free medication through Patient Asssitance programs.
Patient assistance programs are run by pharmaceutical companies to provide free medications to people who cannot afford to pay for their medication. If they can't get them for free, there is the possibility of getting them at a substantial savings. There are some qualifications that must be met and your doctor will need to give some information too but let me tell you, this was the most valuable piece of information our doctor gave to us.
Thankfully my parents were accepted into the programs and their very expensive medication is completely covered- they now receive their meds absolutely Free!!!
